By creating an account, registering for a track, or clicking “I agree”, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. The Service is intended for students, recent graduates, and working professionals. If you register on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Accounts

  • In production you sign in with Google OAuth. Keep your Google account secure.
  • One person, one account. Do not share credentials or impersonate others.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or Community Rules.

3. Tracks and features

The Service may include (availability varies by feature flags and cohort):

  1. 60-Day Challenge — daily tasks, submissions, quizzes, streaks, certificates
  2. Workshops / webinars — event registration and related emails
  3. Hackathon — team or solo registration and project submission
  4. AI Cohort Program — missions, projects, AI-assisted feedback, exit interview
  5. Talent portal — recruiter access to opted-in program member profiles
  6. Jobs board, marketplace, referrals, and related community features

We may change, pause, or discontinue features. Challenge or program completion does not guarantee employment, interviews, or admission to any cohort.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Cheat, falsify proof-of-work, or submit content you do not have rights to share
  • Harass, spam, scrape, or disrupt the Service
  • Attempt unauthorized access to other users’ data or admin systems
  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes

Community conduct rules shown in onboarding apply in addition to these Terms.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (profile data, GitHub/LinkedIn URLs, code, writeups, hackathon repos, interview responses). You grant ABTalks a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, display, and share that content as needed to operate the Service (including admin review, certificates, leaderboards, and—where you opt in—recruiter visibility), and as described in the Privacy Policy.

Public URLs you submit (e.g. GitHub, LinkedIn) may be visible to admins and, where applicable, other participants or recruiters.

6. Certificates

Eligible completions may receive certificates. Certificate IDs and recipient names may be publicly verifiable at /verify/[certificateId]. We may revoke certificates for fraud or Terms violations.

Certificates issued by ABTalks are certificates of participation and completion only. They are not accredited academic or professional qualifications, confer no academic credit, and are not recognised, approved, or accredited by any university, statutory body, examination authority, or regulator in India or elsewhere. Do not represent them as a degree, diploma, or licensed credential.

7. Recruiters and talent

If you opt in to recruiter visibility (program track), approved recruiters may view profile and performance information described in the Privacy Policy. ABTalks is not a party to any employment relationship and makes no hiring guarantees.

Inclusion in the talent pool, publication of a shared assessment report at /r/[token], and listings on the jobs board are introductions only. ABTalks does not screen, vet, endorse, or vouch for any employer, recruiter, or listing, and is not responsible for their conduct, hiring processes, or the accuracy of anything they publish. We do not warrant that you will receive any interview, offer, internship, or employment outcome, and we make no representation about salary, role, or timeline. Any engagement you enter into with an employer is solely between you and them.

Recruiters must use the talent portal only for legitimate recruiting, keep access confidential, and not resell candidate data.

8. Marketplace and Synergy Points

Redemptions may require a shipping address and phone for fulfillment. Physical goods availability and shipping timelines are not guaranteed. Fraudulent redemptions may be cancelled.

Synergy Points are not money. They are a promotional loyalty balance earned through participation. They are not currency, not a payment instrument, not a security, and carry no cash value. They cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, exchanged for cash, or redeemed outside the Service. We may adjust, expire, reverse, or revoke points to correct errors or to address abuse or Terms violations, and we may change item pricing or withdraw items at any time.

Fulfillment of physical rewards is discretionary and currently limited to addresses in India. If we cannot fulfill a redemption, our sole obligation is to restore the redeemed points to your balance.

9. Fees

The Service is currently provided free of charge. We do not collect fees and do not process payment cards or other payment instruments. Synergy Points (§8) are not a payment mechanism.

If we introduce paid offerings in future, the applicable prices, billing terms, cancellation rights, and refund policy will be presented to you at the point of purchase and will govern that purchase in addition to these Terms.

9A. Communications

We send transactional messages needed to run the Service (sign-in, OTP, registration and event confirmations, account notices). Separately, signup forms include a newsletter checkbox for occasional product updates (challenges, workshops, opportunities). That checkbox is selected by default; you may untick it, and you may unsubscribe from marketing mail at any time. Newsletter subscription is optional and is not required to use the Service. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

10. AI features

Some features use third-party AI (e.g. mission feedback, project grading, voice interview). Outputs may be incomplete or incorrect. AI scores and summaries are not sole determinants of employment decisions by ABTalks. Do not submit secrets or highly sensitive personal data in prompts or repos beyond what the feature requires.

11. Intellectual property

ABTalks branding, challenge content, curricula, and platform software are owned by ABTalks or its licensors. You may not copy or redistribute them except as allowed by the Service.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ABTALKS AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR OPPORTUNITIES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) INR 5,000.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ABTalks, its operators, employees, and contractors from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) content you submit to the Service; (b) your breach of these Terms or the Community Rules; (c) your infringement of any third party's intellectual property or other rights; or (d) your unlawful or fraudulent use of the Service. This does not limit any rights you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account deletion via the Privacy Policy rights process. We may remove you from a challenge, program, or hackathon for inactivity, cheating, or Terms violations.

16. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.

Notice before proceedings. Before commencing any legal proceeding, the party raising the dispute will give the other 30 days' prior written notice describing the dispute and the relief sought, and both parties will attempt in good faith to resolve it during that period. Notice to us goes to our Grievance Officer at team@abtalks.in — see /contact. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent interim relief, or a consumer from approaching a consumer forum.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms. The version and effective date appear at the top. Material changes may require re-acceptance on next signup or significant action. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
